Dead Cameras(read entire post)

Hey guys!  Well, It's winter again and I still have yet to put any pics from this summer.  I know it may seem like I'm just being forgetful(again), although I have a totally legit(hate both those words, but they seemed appropriate) reason this time: my camera died for some unknown reason, and the the one in which I was borrowing for my trip to California was very much accidentally dropped in a tide pool.  I was extremely disappointed(still am) because there were some amazing pictures on those cameras.  Luckily, we were able to get the pictures form my camera's SD card onto my mom's laptop, which I will be posting as soon as I am able.  For now, though, please know that I'm going to try to start posting more often as soon as I get a new camera(and the summer pictures will be posted asap).  Until then, thank you all, be ready for some wonderful summer pictures, and if you don't mind, please take a look at my new blog "Today Is A Beautiful Day".  It is still in progress, although should soon be a wonderful collection of my manga art and a different J-pop song, usually by Supercell, each week(its a pie-crust promise, but let's see how it goes).  I know it may sound a little abstract(yeah, that's one way to describe it :3), but it'll probably evolve over time, making changes here and there, until it ends up a bit more harmonized(and hopefully organized...maybe that'll happen to me someday..haha), and it is better explained on the blog if you would look at it.  Anyway, take a look at it each week(or more, I can't control how often you look at a blog) if it sounds like something you may even remotely like...cynarasbeautifulday.blogspot.com

Winter Pics a Lil Late

Well, I know that my blog hasn't been updated in a while, so i decided to post something.  sadly, my
camera was dropped in a tide pool on my trip to california(which i will be posting pictures from sometime in the next month), so i'll show u some pictures from this past winter on a walk at hardburger park that i didnt get a chance to post.
So, this is my little cardinal friend that happened to come and land on a branch as we were leaving.  I'm so glad that he did, too, bcus i was getting worried that i wasnt going to get any bird pictures that trip.  this is definitely one of my favorites. :3

Spring has Finally Sprung!

Thank God that the wildflowers are finally coming up or else i would've lost it if we went for another week without them.  So, the bluebonnets(or lupines as us Californians call them which is also the correct name) have this weird pattern where there's only a few of them one year and the next year every inch of hillside and anything else green is covered in a violet-blue ocean of lupines.  Not only is it just lupines that seem to have this pattern, though, it's also every other wildflower in Texas.  I enjoy this time of year very much because the air is so clean and fresh and pictures of wildflowers are ripe for the taking!  I already have lots of pictures like of this yellow flower(I don't know the name and I really don't feel like looking it up right now) near the nature park in our neighbor hood.  Isn't it beautiful?  Hope(my cousin adopted from China last summer) actually saw it before I did and pointed it out to me. :)  You might want to brace yourself for the rest of spring because there's a lot of more pics where that came from. :)

Yeah, um, Tabi?

Well, uh, the bird is actually girl, so, yeah.  But she's still my sweet parakeet and I still call her Tobi as a nickname, but I guess that her name is now Tabitha.  So anyway, today I let her out of her cage for a little bit while my cousin, Hope, was there.  We ended up crawling on our hands and knees following her as she hobbled along on the carpeted floor.  We were following her like that because every few steps her claws would get cuaght in the carpet and I would carefully unhook her talons from the carpet.  Hope described it as "It is like we are litttle kitties following the bird and are going to eat her."  It's nice to know her perspective of things.  Hehe :3

Uccello, Ptak, Lind, Oiseau, Tobi, Bird

So, I know that this post is long overdue, considering the fact that Christmas was about 3 months ago, but I finally got a bird!  I mean around Christmas I got a bird.  He's a Rare Parakeet and his name is Tobi.  I went through atleast 5 other names until I finally got to the point where I was thinking "none of these names fit the darn bird, so screw originality, lets just name 'em 'Bird', it fits him, too."  I wasn't going to name him Tobi, eventhough he looks so much like he would have that name because it means "bird" in Japanese.  But he's my little sweet parakeet and a loud one at that and I love 'em.

About The Pics...

I never take anyone else's work.  If it's off the internet or just something my friend took a picture of, I'm not going to use that picture!  I only put pictures that I take of things on my blog.  Just wanted to make sure everyone knew that.

By the way, here is one of the big shrooms the next day when it was raining even harder(it was raining when i was outside taking the picture).

Look, Orange Ones, Too!

So, not only were there giant mushrooms but there were orange ones, too.  When I was looking around for some more interesting things after I found the giant ones, across the street there they were, what looked like little orange ping-pong balls.  So I decided to take a look and as I got closer, I noticed that what I was looking at wasn't a bunch of little ping-pong balls but clumps of cute, little bright orange mushrooms!  Now, these things were probably less than an inch tall but I thought to myself, "Oh my gosh, thats so amazing!" as I clicked dozens of pictures of these cute little things.

Giant Mushrooms!

Well, no, not really giant.  They sure do look like it from the pics, though, don't they?  So, earlier this week after it rained, I was walking around outside and guess what I found?  Mushrooms!  But not just any mushrooms, these mushrooms were much bigger than they usually are.  These mushrooms were about 7 or 8 inches tall when they're usually about 3 inches tall at the most.  I love taking pics from "fairy" view, it looks sooooo awesome.
So, I bring you "Giant
 Mushrooms!"

A Bird Picture, Finally!

So, in a post that i did a while ago i said that i would post a picture of a Europeon Starling.  Well, I still dont have that picture.  But, i do have a picture that i took of a Blue Jay, YAY!  I've gotten better at either taking bunches of quick pictures of a bird as soon as i see it...or accepting the fact that the bird just flew away because my dog saw a ferral cat across the park and just had to bark at it right then and to just get over it(large exhale).  Anyway, atleast now I can take a semi-awesome picture of a bird.

The Farm

So last weekend I went to the farm with Lala, uncle Kyle, and Lilly.  I had so much fun!  Like driving the Kubota, that was really awesome.  We drove through a bunch of puddles and I saw some pretty flowers, too (not that I wasn't paying attention or anything...hehe).   Anyway, when I was walking around the garden, I saw this pretty flower that apparently was a bloom of what I think were called purple berries, maybe.  It was really pretty, though.  Most of the pictures that I took were of flowers and would've been birds, too if my camera had been working when I saw this one woodpecker in a tree.  The woodpecker didn't even care that I was standing right under it, too.  It seems like every time there's an opportunity for me to take picture, I'm unprepared for it, that makes me soooo mad!  Anyway, in case you havent noticed I love taking pictures of animals and plants like this white flower that was on vine growing around a tree's branches.

More Photography

Just for future references I'd like to say that I'll probably be posting alot of the pictures that I take because one, it adds some creativity to my blog, two, it looks really awesome, and three, the world needs to see my wonderful creativity and talent for photography, otherwise, what's the point of doing it?  This picture is from when I went to the farm with Lala, Kyle, and Lilly.

One of Many Hobbies

I really like doing photography, (eventhough I'm not in any sort of class for it or anything) and bird watching in addition to all the other things I'm good at and/or like to do.  Sometimes I'll go to the nature park with Sadie(my dog) and take pictures and videos of the things we see, like birds and one time even a rabbit!  There's this one bird that I've been seeing at school in the morning when I get off the bus on the way to the auditorium.  To me it looks like a Europeon Starling.  I really want take a picture of it, but there's never a good time to do it because people would ask me in the world I'm doing.  When I get a picture of it, though I'll post it on here, but for now here's a Barn Swallow at the Deer Field pool(I took the picture).

Fall 2010

I have started middle school at Eisenhower and it is hard and most of the people are really annoying.  I am in PreAP Math and English and Advanced Contemporary Literature and my classes are not easy, but I got straight A's my first semester, which I have never done before.  My parents were very proud!  I also have  Health, Social studies, Science and Orchestra.  I am still playing the cello and I really like it, but my favorite thing to do is ride horses.  I take lessons at Turkey Creek with Sandee.  Last month I started  jumping 18 inch vertical jumps and it is super fun!!!

Summer 2010

I am 11 1/2 years old and tall and skinny like a string bean.  My mom can't believe how big my feet are (we just bought size 8 women's shoes).  I think that means I will be tall someday.  I am learning to sew and I still like to draw and paint.  I love animals, but my favorite is my dog, Sadie.  She is 3 years old and sweet as can be!  I have spent a lot of time with her this summer.  I am going to miss her when school starts.
